The extra effort it took to catch the harvesters depleted all but the last of my energy. A fine low-lying mist had settled above me and it made it difficult to see much higher that 20 or so feet. I was too late to attempt to catch the first harvester but the second one had stopped momentarily, sucking in huge gouts of air to process out any moisture available. I have seen many water harvesters in my life but never had I thought that I would have to get water from one directly. After the collection sack is filled the harvester will march back to the village that built them and deposit the bounty into large storage traps replaying the scenario over and over. There are no “faucets” built into them and it looked like I was going to have to climb up the leg of one to get to the intake section. There are rungs on one of the four legs for maintenance crew access if a malfunction occurs and I begin to question my sanity as I prepare to attempt a free-climb on a moving harvester.

In my delirious state I can smell the water above me or is it just my imagination?
